01About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Bitgate, Inc. ("Bitgate", "we"), Ericssonstraat 2, 5121 ML Rijen, the Netherlands, for your use of reelsdk, the video rendering API at reelsdk.com.
By using the API you accept these terms. If you use it for a company, you accept them on behalf of that company. Questions go to kevin@bitgate.com.
02Your API key
You create keys in the dashboard after signing in with Google. Keep yours secret: don't put it in browser or mobile app code, where anyone can pull it out. You're responsible for everything done with your key.
If you think it leaked, revoke it in the dashboard and create a new one. We can also disable a key that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
03Prices and credit
Renders are paid from prepaid credit. There's no subscription and no minimum spend, and your first $1 of renders is free. The current prices are on the pricing page:
- Slideshows and captions: $0.02 per output minute. Voiceover $0.05 per 1,000 characters.
- Faceless shorts: $0.25 per short up to 60 s. $0.35 for shorts up to 90 s.
- Raw ffmpeg: $0.01 per compute minute. ffmpeg 8.1 on a fresh machine per job.
Top-ups are sold by Stripe as merchant of record, which adds any tax at checkout.
We may change prices. A new price only applies to renders started after it is published on the pricing page.
04Acceptable use
Keeping reelsdk fast and safe for everyone means a few clear rules. Don't use it for:
- anything illegal
- photos, footage, music or voices you don't have the rights to use
- sexual content involving minors
- content that harasses or threatens people, or shows real people sexually without their consent
- videos meant to deceive by impersonating real people
- malware
- trying to break out of the sandbox, reach other users' jobs or files, or get around the per-key limits
- sending load meant to disrupt the service
05Your content
You keep all rights to what you send us and to the videos you get back. You give us permission to store and process your content only to run your jobs and deliver the results. You confirm you have the rights to everything you send.
06AI-generated output
Shorts, voiceovers and transcripts are made with AI models. AI output can be wrong, odd or close to existing work, so review it before you publish it. An image safety filter can turn down some topics, in which case the job fails with CONTENT_REJECTED.
Music in shorts is CC0 (public domain) music by HoliznaCC0. We claim no ownership of your output.
07Files and retention
Files are deleted 7 days after they are created, so download anything you want to keep before then. Links to files are public to anyone who has them.
08Limits and availability
Every key has these limits. Limits are set per key, so if you need more, ask us.
- Concurrent jobs: 3 per key
- Jobs per day: 500 per key
- Uploads per day: 5 GiB per key
- Input files: 500 MB each, 1 GB per job
- Media length: Up to 15 minutes
- Job run time: Up to 10 minutes
- Waiting for a result: 60 s by default, up to 300 s
- Output retention: 7 days
- Webhooks: HMAC-SHA256 signed, 3 attempts
reelsdk is provided as is, without an uptime guarantee. We work to keep it running, and we may change, add or remove features as it grows.
09Suspension and ending
You can stop using reelsdk at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or don't pay, or when we need to protect the service or other users.
10Liability
If you use reelsdk for business, Bitgate is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us for reelsdk in the six months before the event that caused the damage, and a claim expires 12 months after it arose. These limits don't apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.
If you're a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country still apply to you.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and for important changes we'll also email the address your key was sent to before they take effect.
12Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the district where Bitgate has its registered office, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
